Behind-glass-painting from Cora Korte. Original. 20 x 20 cm (framed 24.5 x 24.5 cm)
Korte’s art deals with life itself, and she strives to express her personal interpretation of it artistically. She uses motifs that oscillate between figuration and abstraction and are mainly painted behind glass. The effect of her reverse glass paintings and light objects varies depending on the incidence of light, often revealing familiar themes in surprising new ways.
For Korte, art serves to enrich life and our perception of it and to address areas that are often lost in everyday life. She sees art as the interpretation of life in visual language in order to communicate with people on a deeper level. Ultimately, her art is a personal exploration of life, the world and people, an expression of her own views and feelings.
