Cora Korte, a German artist, creates works that evoke fairytale associations while at the same time reflecting contemporary themes. She plays masterfully with concepts such as darkness and light, home and uprootedness as well as security and being at the mercy of others. Born in Flensburg in 1961, she studied fine art and painting at the Muthesius University in Kiel and now lives in Kiel and Berlin.
