Heinz Mack’s central artistic theme is light, and his non-figurative sculptures and paintings are media for this. His oeuvre is extraordinarily diverse: sculptures made of various materials, light steles, light rotors, light reliefs and light cubes. His oeuvre also includes paintings, drawings, inks, pastels, prints, photography and bibliophile works as well as the design of public spaces, church interiors, stage sets and mosaics.
