Axel Crieger was born in Munich in 1955 and studied visual communication. The concepts of reality and veracity dissolve when the German-American artist creates his modern photo collages in the ICON series from several images and using special effects. Axel Crieger, who lives and works in Los Angeles, calls these works headshots, images that arise in the mind. Many Hollywood stars collect his photomontages, which have won numerous awards.
