Sabine Endres' abstract paintings have a light and generous effect. Moving surfaces condense into isolated groups on the canvas, bundle together in a virtuoso frenzy of color and are sometimes connected by delicate lines. In very different ways, these diverse compositions are reminiscent of vegetal structures, landscapes or underwater worlds. However, they always remain so indeterminable and devoid of any interpretation that the viewers are left room for their own associations and ideas. They are snapshots of artistic creation and have emerged entirely from the essence of pure painting. (Alexandra Wendorf Art historian)
