Juan Cossio was born in Madrid in 1960.
As an accomplished draughtsman, he recognized his natural vocation and a keen visual sense for painting at an early age. He studied Fine Art at the Complutense University in Madrid and was a copyist at the El Prado Museum in Madrid. A student of the Spanish masters of realism, Antonio López García and hyperrealism Manuel Franquelo, Cossio has been actively involved in the explosive Spanish art scene for over 30 years.
